State Bank of India (SBI) is the leading bank of India. There are several recruitment exams being conducted by SBI and Probationary officer is the main recruitment exam. SBI PO Exam Syllabus Pattern is being described below as per which the candidates can prepare for the exam.

SBI PO Selection Procedure 2019

1. एसबीआई पीओ प्रारंभिक परीक्षा/ SBI PO Preliminary Paper which is just an entry mark for mains exam
2. एसबीआई पीओ मुख्य परीक्षा/ SBI PO Mains exam is both Objective & Descriptive type. First Objective exam is conducted of 200 marks followed by which is descriptive paper of 50 marks (30 minutes exam).
3. Group Discussion & personal Interview.
4. The candidates need to qualify both Phase II & III round individually.

Qualifying Criteria: Both main exam and Group discussion & personal interview have to be qualified individually.

SBI PO 2019 की मुख्य परीक्षा में 5 अनुभाग हैं- डेटा विश्लेषण, अंग्रेजी भाषा, अर्थव्यवस्था/ सामान्य / बैंकिंग जागरूकता, रीजनिंग, कंप्यूटर योग्यता. पूर्ण पाठ्यक्रम पर नीचे चर्चा की गई है-

The subject wise syllabus for Objective Paper is:

NOTE: For the Preliminary & Mains exam, the syllabus remains almost same but the difference lies in level of exam. In case of Preliminary exam, the questions are asked in a bit easy manner but for Mains exam, the level is difficult.

English- adverbs, verbs, preposition, error correction, tenses, sentences rearrangement, synonyms, antonyms, sentence correction, language proficiency questions, unseen passages

General Awareness- Indian Current events, Current affairs (National & international), important dates of events, science & technology based questions, banking sector questions (Budget, 5 year plans), culture, books & author, railways, sports

Data Analysis & interpretation- Graphs, Charts.

Reasoning- Venn diagrams, statements & conclusions, non- verbal series, seating arrangements, blood relations, coding & decoding, number series

Computer Knowledge: The questions are asked from basics of MS Office- Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, internet usage, computer abbreviations, devices of computer etc.

Quantitative Aptitude: Number system, problem on trains, boats & streams, probability, permutation & combination, LCM & HCF, time & work, time & distance, mixtures, square roots, percentages, simple & compound interest, problem on ages, charts & graphs etc.

In the descriptive Type paper of the SBI PO Exam, The candidates will have to answer the questions of the type-

• Letter writing
• Précis writing
• Comprehension passages
• Essay writing

The topics which will be provided for above mentioned questions can be from current affairs, daily events, science topics etc.
