Does “Self-Correction” lower the accuracy score?
No. In standard running records, a Self-Correction (SC) is NOT counted as an error. It indicates the student is monitoring their own reading, which is a positive behavior.
How is the “Error Ratio” calculated?
It represents the frequency of errors. A ratio of 1:12 means the student made one error for every 12 words read. A higher second number (e.g., 1:50) is better.

Ans: The Self-Correction Ratio compares Corrections to Errors. If there are no errors or no corrections, the ratio cannot be calculated mathematically (division by zero). This is normal.
