WBSSC Fire Engine Operator Cum Driver Syllabus & Exam Scheme

West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) recruitment exam for of Fire Engine Operator cum Driver (FED) is being conducted so as to select the best of candidates for the post. WBSSC Exam Pattern & Syllabus for exam is given below which can be followed by the candidates who have applied for the exam. WBSSC FED Exam Pattern: In WBSSC FEO Driver exam scheme, there are objective type questions, 75 in number, each of 1 mark.

NOTE: 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer.

Total Time duration: 60 minutes

The questions are asked from class 8th level and the questions come from-

  • Arithmetic- 10 questions
  • General Knowledge- 20 questions
  • Reasoning Test- 10 questions
  • Traffic Rules- 35 questions

Followed by above, is a Driving test of 25 marks and the qualifying Marks is 15 in this paper.

Then, there will be interview of 10 marks

WBSSC FED Exam Syllabus: The syllabus included for each above mentioned subject-

Arithmetic : L.C.M & H.C.F, Ratio & Proportion, Simplification, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, Probability, Percentage, Decimals, Fractions, Averages, Profit & Loss

Reasoning: The questions are asked from the topics- Problem Solving, Statement & Conclusion type questions, non-verbal series, missing pattern, odd man out, Seating Arrangements, Number Series, Coding and de-coding

General Knowledge: In this section, the questions are made such that the knowledge of candidate into outside world can be checked. Current affairs of India and World, General things around in society, scientific aspects, some basics from History, Culture, Geography, Economic, political issues of India

Traffic Rules- The questions will be asked to test the basics of applicants for the traffic rules. Being the related field post, it is mandatory for candidates to have knowledge of the same.

Prepare well for the written test & interview so as to achieve good marks in both. The qualification score in exam will constitute the score in both.
