Exam name: Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA) Exam
Exam Purpose: Mechanical Department needs Railway Apprentices
Exam Eligibility: The eligibility factors are discussed-
Nationality: Citizen of India/ Nepal/ Bhutan/ Tibetan Refugee/ Indian Origin people migrated tp other countries
Age Limit: Minimum 17 years of age and max. of 20 years (not attain the age of 21 years)
Educational Qualifications: Must have passed in 1st/ 2nd Division the intermediate or equivalent exam of University or Board
OR
Graduate with mathematics & Physics OR Chemistry
OR
Must have passed in 1st/ 2nd Division the higher secondary Examination (10 + 2 pattern) with mathematics & Physics OR Chemistry as Subjects
OR
Must Have passed 1st year examination under 3 year degree course of University.
OR
Must have passed in 1st/ 2nd Division the Pre Engineering Exam of University
OR
Must have passed in 1st/ 2nd Division the Pre Professional/ Pre Technological Exam of Indian University or recognized Board
OR
Must have passed in 1st year examination under 5 year Engineering degree course
OR
Must have passed in 1st/ 2nd Division the Pre- degree examination of universities of Kerala & Calicut with mathematics and Physics OR chemistry as Subjects
After Selection in SCRA Exam: The selected candidates will undergo a 4 year training programme in Mechanical Engineering with which the candidates are awarded with B.Tech degree. This degree is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education.
After these training years, the candidates join the Indian railway Services of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) Officers in indian Railways.
SCRA Exam is best for those candidates who wish to join the railways and so prepare very well for the examination and give it with full confidence. Just be focused on the syllabus which you have studied in your academics till date.
