RPSC Assistant Professor- Endocrinology Exam Syllabus Details With Paper Pattern

RPSC Assistant Professor Endocrinology recruitment in Medical & Health Education Department is done through an examination which has a definite amount of syllabus and paper pattern. The applicants for the Assistant Professor Endocrinology exam need to make it a point to study all the topics which are the part of syllabus. The questions are asked from the field itself so as to check the knowledge of the applicant for assistant professor post.

Exam pattern- Written Test of 100 questions (1 Mark each) for which the 2 hours’ time duration will be provided.

NOTE: There will be negative marking in the exam.

  • Laboratory Techniques: Hormonal assays of FISH, chromosomal microarray, molecular genetics and biochemical genetics of endocrine and metabolic disorders, RIA, CLIA, IRMA, ELISA, LCMS HPLC, Clinical chemistry of hormone and metabolic disorders, cytogenetics.
  • Basic principles of imaging and their applications in endocrinology: Nuclear imaging including PET scan, CT, MRI, USG and conventional radiology.

  1. Gonads and puberty :
  • Abnormal development of gonads and genitalia, their presentation, evaluation and management of various disorders like : precocious puberty, Female pseudo hermaphrodite, male pseudo hermaphrodite, true hermaphrodite, delayed puberty
  • Somatic stigmata and abnormal pubertal development, work up and management of : Turners syndrome, Klinefelter’s syndrome, kallmann syndrome
