OSSC Syllabus & Exam Scheme For Sub-Inspector (Finger Print) Written Test

Orissa Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) recruitment of Sub-Inspector (Finger Print) in the state crime record bureau under the D.G. & I.G. of Police (Home Department) is being done through a proper selection procedure which includes following rounds-

  1. Physical Standard & Eye Sight Test
  2. Written Exam consists of 3 papers for which 4 hours (300 Marks) are given
  3. Viva cum psychological test of 30 marks

Follow the OSC Sub Inspector Exam Pattern & Syllabus and prepare for the competitive paper in best way. Make a time table to study for the exam and so you will be able to achieve success.

OSSC Sub Inspector Exam Pattern: For Written Exam,

  • Paper I- General English subjective paper of 50 marks for which 1 hour is allotted
  • Paper II- Odia language subjective paper of 50 marks for which 1 hour is allotted
  • Paper III- General Studies objective paper of 200 marks for which 2 hours is allotted

OSSC Sub Inspector Exam Syllabus: The details of each section of paper is-

Paper I is General English: The questions will be asked from-Passage Comprehension, Précis writing, Vocabulary, Short essay writing, Grammar

Paper II is Odia Language: The questions are asked such as- Comprehension of a given passage, Letter/Application/Report writing, Vocabulary, Short essay writing, Translation from English to Odia

Paper III is General Studies paper in which questions are asked from science background. The questions are asked from-

  • General Knowledge & Current affairs- 50 marks
  • General Science & computer awareness- 100 marks
  • Mathematics & reasoning- 50 marks

Prepare for each round of selection because one round clearance is the entry into second round and it is important to clear all of them to get selected. Practice the questions from each field so as to get the better flexibility in the exam for each type of question.
