Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Pune has given the recruitment notice for various posts like Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Storekeeper. NVS Pune LDC/ Storekeeper written exam pattern & syllabus are given below.  Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is under the ministry of human resource development, department of school and literacy (Government of India). Eligible Indian citizens can fill up the online applications and apply for the different posts. As you all know that competition is increasing every day and so it is very important to know all the pattern or scheme of the examination. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Storekeeper Exam Pattern

  • There will be multiple choice objective questions asked in written exam.
  • Time given to each and every candidate is 2 hours (maximum) (120 minutes).
  • Written exam is of 100 marks.
  • Examination will be bilingual (English/Hindi).
  • Trade test will be conducted in type writing (English/ Hindi) on computer.

Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Storekeeper Syllabus

General Awareness:  Questions are based on environment and the society trends going on. These questions are designed in order to test the capability and involvement in day to day life. You can prepare latest current affairs, government plans, sports. This section can be prepared on daily basis and you need to devote time every day. Test will also include some questions from History, Economic, and General Polity including Indian Constitution, Geography, Scientific Research and Culture etc.

General English/Hindi: Candidate will be tested on the basis of understanding English/ Language and question will be based on vocabulary, synonyms, grammar, sentence structure, antonyms and its correct usage.

Numerical Ability:  Question will be asked from Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Time and Work, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Ratio and Proportion, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time.

General Intelligence & Reasoning: In this section questions will be of verbal and non-verbal type. This section is to test the abstract ideas of the candidates and solve symbols and relationships, analytic function and arithmetical computations. Also question can be from relationship concepts, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, discriminating observation, problem solving, verbal and figure classification, analysis, judgment, decision making, and visual memory.

Computer proficiency: MS Word, Basic Fundamental, Internet, MS Excel, Automation.

Trade Test (Typing)

There will be a typing test in which every candidate must have minimum speed of 35 words per minute in English type writing. For Hindi typing 30 words on Computer and Time given will be 10 minute. (35w.p.m and 30 words per minute correspond to 10500KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).
