MP High Court District Judge Mains Exam Pattern

There will be a written test which of descriptive type.

Time given to every candidate will be 3 hours (180 minutes).

Paper will be of 100 marks.

Minimum qualifying marks for each category will be

  • General: 50%
  • OBC: 50%
  • SC/ST: 45%

  10. Limitation Act, 1963

 Paper-II: Criminal Laws and Procedure

  1. Indian Penal Code, 1860
  2. Evidence Act, 1872
  3. Criminal Procedure Code,1973
  4. C. & S.T. (Prevention of Atrocity) Act, 1989.
  5. Electricity Act, 2003
  6. Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881
  7. D.P.S. Act, 1985
  8. Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988

Paper-III: Writing Skill, Court Practice, Translation and Current legal Knowledge

In this section you have to write article in Hindi & write a summary on a legal topic (in English). (For Summary Writing, a matter like copy of Plaint, Written Statement or Charge Sheet/Complaint may be given and the candidate shall be asked to summarize it into 200 words). Madhya Pradesh Rules & Orders  (Civil & Criminal) & also translation from Hindi to English & English to Hindi.

Paper-IV: Judgment Writing

In this paper you have to write on framing of issues & charges. Must have knowledge of Judgmental writing on Civil & Criminal.
