Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) recruitment for officers, teaching & non- teaching and miscellaneous posts like-

1. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)- Principal
2. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)- Primary Teacher PRT (Music)

KVS Exam Pattern & Syllabus is being defined below for each post so that you can prepare for your profile well. Being a large competitive paper, you need to prepare it well for the exam. Follow the exam pattern & syllabus for the exam and you will score good in the exam paper.

KVS Exam Pattern: The details of each post is given below-

For PGTs (Hindi, English, Physics, Chemistry, Math, Biology, History, Economics, Geography, Commerce, Computer Science, Bio-Technology)

• Total Questions: 200
• Total Marks: 200 [Each section is of 20 marks except Subject concerned questions which are of 100 marks]
• Total Time: 3 Hours
• Subjects Included: Hindi, English, Current affairs, Reasoning & Numerical Aptitude, Teaching Aids, Subjects Related Questions

For TGTs (Hindi, English, Math, Science, Social Science & Sanskrit)

• Total Questions: 150
• Total Marks: 150 [Each section is of 15 marks except Current affairs, Teaching Aids & reasoning which are of 40 marks]
• Total Time: 2.5 Hours
• Subjects Included: Hindi, English, Current affairs, Reasoning, Teaching Aids

For Primary Teacher (Music)

• Total Questions: 150
• Total Marks: 150
• Total Time: 2.5 Hours
• Subjects Included (marks): Hindi (15), English (15), Current affairs (30), Reasoning (30), Subject Related (60)

For TGTs (P & HE, AE & WE)

• Total Questions: 200
• Total Marks: 200
• Total Time: 3 Hours
• Subjects Included (marks): Hindi (20), English (20), Current affairs (30), Reasoning (30), Subject Related (100)

FINAL Selection:

The final merit list is being done by Written Test & Interview scores of the candidate.

KVS Exam Syllabus: From each section of the subject, the questions will be asked from basic. From subjects concerning topics, the questions will be asked from core of the respective subject of which you are part of.
