Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) Junior Engineer Civil/ mechanical Exam is being conducted in 2 phases- Preliminary and Mains exam. The Preliminary exam Pattern & Syllabus can be checked out from below and can be prepared in the best possible way.
JSSC Jr. Engineer (Civil/ Mechanical) Prelims Exam Pattern–
The written exam will be conducted for the recruitment purposes which will have the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The subjects from which the questions will come from-
Paper I- General intelligence, Reasoning, Computer knowledge 100 questions of 300 marks in the paper.
Paper II- General Hindi 100 questions of 300 Marks
For both the papers, 2 hours will be given for each exam.
NOTE: 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in the exam.
Syllabus of JSSC Jr. Engineer (Civil/ Mechanical) Prelims Exam- For Paper 1
General intelligence/ Reasoning- Both verbal and Non- verbal part of the reasoning will be asked in the exam paper. Venn diagrams, Symbolic operations, Critical thinking, coding & decoding, problem solving, drawing inferences, space orientation, figural pattern, symbolic analogy, Pattern Folding questions, emotional intelligence, numerical operations and all related topics are the part of syllabus
The questions can also be asked from the current affairs of both national and international importance, important dates and events, Indian languages, Indian history related questions
Computer knowledge- Proficiency of candidates into using web, e-mail service, MS- Word, MS- Excel, MS- Powerpoint, MS- Access, Computer Fundamentals, File transfer, USB devices, Formatting of documents, networking concepts
For Paper 2-
General Hindi- For this subject, 25 questions will be asked from Hindi passages and 75 questions will be asked from Grammar portion. The questions can be asked from vocabulary part or grammar part. The topics of major concern are- Direct/ Indirect, Active/ passive voice, Phrasal verbs, Sentences in passages, Sentence comprehension.
