Maharashtra Postal Circle Postman Multi- tasking Staff (MTS) exam is the important examination which is being conducted for the applicants. They need to prepare for the exam in the best possible way and for this they need to know the exam pattern & syllabus. Maharashtra Postal Circle Postman MTS Exam Pattern: The paper is being set by the officials as per some criteria. There are some sections in the exam paper which are-

  1. General Knowledge, Reasoning, Analytical Ability
  2. Mathematics
  3. English
  4. Regional Language

The other details of the exam include-

  • Exam Type: Objective Type
  • Maximum Marks: 100 marks
  • Time Allowed: 2 Hours

There will be no negative marking in the paper.

Qualifying percentage for different category of candidates-

  • Unreserved- 40% marks
  • OBC- 37%
  • SC/ ST- 33%

Syllabus For Maharashtra Postman MTS:

General Knowledge- Important dates & events which are of historic nature or may be current, Current affairs of national & international importance, scientific inventions which are latest, political/ social/ economic development issues of India & world, What is happening in surroundings.

Mathematics- Number system, Whole Numbers, LCM & HCF, Probability, Statistics, Averages, Discount, Time & Speed, Fractions, Time & Work, Distance, Simplification, Decimals, Profit & Loss, Partnership, Ratios & proportions, Simple & Compound Interest, Tables & graphs

Reasoning- Both verbal & non- verbal type questions are asked which include Missing patterns, odd man series, pattern matching, figure classification, completing series, table figures, coding & decoding etc.

English & Regional Language- The questions will be asked from the regional language& English which is the minimum requirement for the candidates to know for the job. There will be a comprehension passage under which the questions are asked and are to be answered based on passage The questions will be based on verbs, adverbs, adjectives, nouns, vocabulary, prepositions, conjuctions etc.
