District Court of Hooghly Syllabus & Exam Pattern- LDC|Stenographer|Typist-Copyist

District Court of Hooghly recruitment of Lower Division Clerk, English Stenographer,  English Typist – Copyist is done through a proper selection criteria which has defined exam pattern & syllabus. District Court of Hooghly exam pattern & syllabus for exam will include several topics which have to be prepared.

District Court of Hooghly Exam Pattern:

  1. Bengali Translator:

Part I: Objective paper based on English & Bengali language

Part II: Subjective paper containing paragraph writing

  1. For English Typist – Copyist: A written exam of 50 Marks will be conducted which will be complete objective type. The section of exam are General English (30 Marks) & Current Affairs (20 Marks) for which 1 Hour will be given.
  2. For LDC (Lower Division Clerk) there will be a written exam of 100 marks. The total time for these parts is 1 Hour.

Part-I: Objective Type Questions will be asked from English, General Studies & Arithmetic (50 Marks)

Part-II: Conventional Type Questions will be asked from General English, Bengali & Hindi (25 Marks).

  1. For English Stenographer: In this exam, there will be 2 sections each detailed below-

Part I: This will be comprised of Dictation & Transcription of 400 marks (6 minutes dictation & 1 hour transcription)

Part II: General English of 100 Marks. Total Time given for this exam is 90 minutes.

Part III: Computer Typing of 100 marks and speed should be 30 words per minutes (10 minutes)

      4. Group D: Objective test with basic questions.

District Court of Hooghly Exam Syllabus: The syllabus for all the above mentioned topics include-

General English: The questions will be asked to judge the ability of candidate in English including- Basic grammar (noun, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, preposition, vocabulary etc.

Current Affairs: This section include the questions based on general awareness of India & international level. The important dates & events are asked and the questions from all sectors- Economy, trade, societal, sports, culture etc. are asked.

General Studies: This section includes the current affairs section and also questions from History, geography, arithmetic operations, mental Ability

The language section will contain questions which will test the ability of candidate in the respective language.
