Syllabus of ASI Stenographer In CRPF With Paper Scheme Details

Central Reserve Police Force recruitment for Assistant Sub-Inspector/Stenographer will be done with a proper selection criteria which is mentioned below-

PHASE 1: Written Exam

PHASE 2: Physical Standard Test (PST) & Documentation, Skill Test, Medical Exam

CRPF Exam Pattern & Syllabus for ASI (Steno) is described below which can be used to prepare well for the exam and score the best results.


Exam Pattern: The details of the written exam are-

  • Exam Type: Objective Type
  • Total Time: 2:30 Hours
  • Total Marks: 225 marks
  • Subjects Included: Objective Section of exam includes topics each of 50 marks- Hindi/ English, General Intelligence, Numerical Aptitude, Clerical Aptitude
  • Descriptive section contains Essay & Letter writing of 25 Marks

Exam Syllabus:

Hindi/English: Grammar section including verbs, noun, adjective, adverb, phrases, idioms, sentence structure, narration, voice etc. Comprehension passages are asked in exam including vocabulary, antonyms, synonyms etc.

General Intelligence: Similarities & Differences, Analogies, problem solving, relationship, venn diagrams, relationships, pattern matching, coding & decoding, statement & conclusion etc.

Numerical Aptitude: Number Systems, Simplification, Fractions, L.C.M., Decimals, H.C.F., square roots, Ratio & Proportion, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, Percentage, Average, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Work, Profit & Loss, Discount, boats & streams, mixtures & alligations, probability, permutation & combination.

Clerical Aptitude: The questions will be asked based on Clerk job i.e. abbreviating, filing, indexing etc. in office. The normal routine work based questions are asked in the exam.

In Essay writing & Letter writing the questions are based on the general topics ongoing around.

Unexpanded Chest- 76 cms for ST & 77cms for all others

Expanded Chest- 81 cms for ST & 82 cms for all others

Under Skill Test on computer, 80 words per minute speed should be maintained (50 minutes for English and 65 minutes for computer)

Under Medical exam, the candidate’s health will be tested in different ways.
