Syllabus For CG PSC State Services Preliminary Exam Pattern Paper 1,2

Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) conducts various examinations for different purposes. An exam named State Service Preliminary paper is being conducted in which the applicants have to study the defined course. The exam contains 2 papers details of which are given below. CGPSC State Services prelims Exam pattern & Syllabus are to be known by the applicants because this will help them to make a proper schedule on how to study for the exam.

CGPSC State Services prelims Exam pattern: Written objective type paper will come in the exam which will contain the multiple choice questions.

  • Paper I- General Studies & General Knowledge
  • Paper II- General Aptitude Test

Total Time: 2 Hours

Total Questions: 100

Total marks: 200 Marks

NOTE: For every right answer, 2 marks will be awarded and for every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

CGPSC State Services Prelims Exam Syllabus: The course planned for Paper I & paper II is mentioned below-

Paper I– It includes the questions from the topics such as-

History of India (Indian National Movement), Physical, Social, Economic, Geography, Constitution of India, Indian Economy, Science & Technology, Current Affairs, Sports, Environment, Indian Philosophy, Art, Literature & Culture

Also, the questions are asked from the general knowledge from the state- Chhattisgarh. So, the applicants need to know the Census, Archeological, Tourist Centres, Literature, Music, Dance, Art and Culture, Tribes, Special Traditions, Festivals, Industries, Mineral Resource, Current Affairs, History, Geography, Climate, Physical status, Economy, Administrative Structure

Paper II– The questions are asked so as to judge the applicant skills into various categories such as- Decision making, communication skills, reasoning, problem solving, mental ability, Data interpretation. The questions are asked from these topics and so the candidates can prepare them accordingly.

The questions to check the Knowledge of Hindi Language & Chhattisgarhi Language are also part of the exam and the candidates need to get into touch with them.
