Syllabus For PGMAT BCECE Board Paper Pattern|Scheme All Courses

Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) Medical College Entrance exam is being conducted which is commonly known as PGMAT Exam. The exam is being given by many large no. applicants and so the exam is considered to be very important. BCECE PGMAT exam pattern & Syllabus is being provided below as per which the candidates can prepare for the exam. PGMAT is being conducted for the MD / MS / PG Diploma (PGD) Courses. These can be done in colleges like-

  • Patna Medical College, Patna
  • Darbhanga Medical College, Darbhanga
  • Nalanda Medical College, Patna
  • N.M. Medical College, Gaya
  • L.N.M.C., Bhagalpur
  • K.M.C. Muzaffarpur
  • IGIMS Medical College, Patna

Also, PGMAT includes MDS Course from Patna Dental College, Patna & MD (Ayurveda) for Govt. Ayurvedic College, Patna

Bihar PGMAT Exam Pattern: The written exam paper is of M.B.B.S. Standard. There will be 2 parts of the exam-

Pre and Para clinical subjects- 100 questions

Clinical subjects-150 questions

Total time awarded for the exam is 3.15 Hours

For MD Course-

Part I: Ayurveda Ka Itihas, Agad Tantra Vyavahar Ayurveda Avam Vidhi Vaidyak, Sanskrit, Padarth Vigyan, Astang Sangrah, Ras Shastra Bhaishaya Kalpana, Dravyagun Vigyan, Swasthya Vritta, Kriya Sharir

Part II: Shalakya Tantra, Rog Vigyan Avam, Prasuti Tantra, Kaumar Bhrtya, Kaya Chikitsa

For MD / MS / PG Diploma

Part I: Anatomy, Physiology, Biophysics, Pathology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Preventive & Social Medicine, Forensic Medicine & Toxicology

Part II: Medicine including Pediatrics/ Dermatology, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Obsetrics & Gynecology

There will be 10-15 Questions from each topic. This number may differ as per the course content of the topic.

For MDS Course-

Part I: General Surgery, General & Oral Anatomy, Physiology & Biochemistry, General Medicine, General & Oral Pathology, General & Dental Pharmacology & Therapeutics

Part II: Prosthodontics, Community & preventive Dentistry, Conservative Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Periodontics, Orthodontics

From each section, there will be around 15 questions which can increase or decrease as per the course in each.

Study the topics well for the exam so as to get the good scores in the exam.
